Primary job responsibilities of a Selling Department Manager include the following:
-Assist sales associates in providing excellent customer service; setting an example for others to follow.
-Train sales associates in sales technique, product knowledge, and department and store policies and procedures.
-Communicate effectively with sales associates, store management, and the merchandising staff.
-Complete department schedules and monitor department staffing levels, making changes when needed.
